This is the best brand I have stumbled upon since Burts Bees for quality cotton clothing.
First I will say I am in LOVE with this pattern. It is the perfect cute Christmasy little kid pajama pattern that feels Christmasy without feeling tacky. I absolutely adore the bright red cuffs.
However, buyer beware in terms of sizing, these do not fit like their regular clothes. I know kid Pj's are "supposed" to be tight. But in my opinion these go from being a regular fit to a tall and slim fit, not just tight pajama style. I wish I had gone up a size. But that's my personal opinion.
The quality of the fabric is hard to describe. Truly the word is quality. It's thick without feeling heavy. It feels breathable and stretchy without feeling cheap. The colors are so vibrant. They really are so nice.
Also, organic cotton: this brand nails it. You can clearly feel and see the difference between the regular cotton, and organic cotton. The organic cotton cloth is soft and has a thicker feeling weave while still maintaining and airiness. It has an almost scentless, fresh smell. It's hard to explain but I have laid regular cotton pieces next to the Butterblu pieces, and there is a tangible difference.
Finally, they DO shrink, but not badly. I wash and dry these on medium heat. I have tested identical clothing items from Butterblu before and after washing and drying, and they shrink about half an inch at most. These Pj's shrunk about the amount I expected.
Another thing I love is that my other clothing pieces from Butterblu, even after a ton of wear, have zero pilling and look practically brand new.
I will say finally that these are pricey, but one of those rare things that are worth the price in moderation. I will certainly be buying from Butterblu again.
