I bought this with visions of my 4-year-old living her best puddle-jumping life… then Mississippi reminded me it's been 95°+ for approximately forever. 😂
So, full transparency: we haven't actually put this through its paces yet because I cannot, in good conscience, zip my child into what is essentially a waterproof suit when the heat index is trying to end us.
That said, my first impressions are really positive. The construction looks solid, the seams appear well done, and I was pleasantly surprised that it didn't have that "opened a pool float straight from the factory" plastic smell. Parents know exactly what smell I'm talking about.
The suit seems thoughtfully designed with elastic cuffs, reinforced knees, reflective details, and a roomy fit that's meant to go over regular clothes. I also love the bright green color—it'll be easy to spot an excited little puddle-jumper running around. The listing also includes foot stirrups and dual side zippers, which should make getting it on and off easier.
This would be great for families with kids who love splashing in puddles, playing outside after rainstorms, or spending lots of time outdoors in cooler, wet weather.
One thing to note: I personally wouldn't use this in hot, humid weather. Even with ventilation, it still looks like it'd be pretty warm, so for us this is going to be a fall, winter, and spring item rather than a Mississippi summer one.
TL;DR: It looks well made, doesn't have the awful plastic smell some rain gear has, and I think my puddle-loving 4-year-old is going to have a blast in it once the temperatures drop. I'll plan to update my review after we've had some real muddy adventures.
